- Friday, September 19, 2025 — Mother Stewart’s Brewing Co. (Downtown Springfield) kicks things off with a night of quirky, mustard-centered fun.
- Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM — the main festivities continue at National Road Commons Park (21 Mill Run Pl), with free admission for all.
Friday Night Highlights (September 19)
- 6:00 PM – Wiener Dog Pageant, followed by the crowning of the King and Queen Wiener Dog.
- 6:30–7:30 PM – “From Grain to Glass” craft brew and small dish tasting experience.
- 7:30 PM – Men’s and Women’s U.S. Steinholding Championship Qualifier, where participants hold a heavy liter stein for as long as possible. Winners will go on to compete in the state championship.
Saturday Highlights (September 20)
- 1:00 PM – Official keg tapping and opening of Mother Stewart’s beer garden — get ready for mustard tastings, food trucks, lawn games, live music, and merch!
- 2:30 PM – Mouth-watering Woeber’s Spicy Mustard & Horseradish Eating Contest featuring varieties like Jalapeño, Wasabi, Sriracha, and 10× Hot Horseradish. The winner takes home the Mustard Belt and a cash prize!
- 4:00 PM – The beloved Champion City Wiener Dog Race begins! Opening registration starts at 3:00 PM. Dachshund owners and fans get in on the action with fun rules, prelim heats, and adorable awards like pawesome bandanas and treats.
Special Appearance: Joey Chestnut
Joining the fun on Saturday is none other than Joey Chestnut, legendary competitive eater and reigning champion at major eating contests. He’ll cap off the eating contest, do demonstrations, photos, autographs, and help crown the winner.
